Anchorages in the North Sea

The four ports are located all over the island in List, Hörnum, Munkmarsch and RantumThe ports are as diverse as the locations. 

From List and Hörnum start the Excursion boats and ferries towards the neighboring islands, Halligen and Seal banks. You can also find numerous regional Specialities try and discover small, charming shops.

The harbors in Rantum and Munkmarsch are a bit more tranquil. You can experience the traditional harbors on a leisurely stroll. In the surrounding area, in Rantum, individual small shops and in Munkmarsch the nearby bay is perfect for Watersports.

If you are one own boat you can buy tickets at the local Yacht clubs invest.

Hörnum Harbor

Lister Harbor

Fish sandwich and ferry

Lister Harbour has a lot to offer: trips to the nearby seal banks, the old barrel hall invites you to stroll and shop and the Natural Forces Adventure Center is just a stone's throw away. At the ferry dock, you can arrive by FRS Sylt Ferry Good to know: The sea ​​rescuers and the research vessel of the Awi on their journeys. 

Munkmarsch Harbor

Sailboats and barges

The Munkmarsch Harbor was once the gateway to the island. Today, things are quieter here: Small sailboats from private clubs come and go, while surfboards are used in the neighboring bay. 

Would you like a little piece of harbor history for your next trip to Munkmarsch? In 1975, berths in the harbor became scarce, but instead of risking a costly expansion, two decommissioned cargo ships from the Port of Hamburg were used as outer walls – covered with concrete, they form the outer end of the piers.

Rantum Harbor

Pleasure boats and low tide

Rantum is the smallest and newest harbor on the island. It is only accessible to boats shortly before and after high tide. Otherwise, the ships are dry at low tide. Originally built for mussel fishermen, it is now used mainly by pleasure boats.
