In the middle of island life
Let's go! There are days that are less than ideal for a bike tour across the island on a folding bike. Then the Sylt wind might whip from the northwest, nimbly changing direction. And then there are those days when a gentle summer breeze gently blows around your nose, providing the necessary refreshment here and there, while the sun occasionally peeks out from behind the clouds, but without blazing. Ideal, then, for exploring the "Klappi-Genusstour NO. 1" and indulging in a day full of culinary delights, nature, and ease. Of course, this route can also be completed by e-bike, but the deceleration factor is significantly greater with a non-motorized bike.
A tip: Be sure to take your time, as there's so much to discover along the way. Dismount every now and then and enjoy the scenery. It's breathtakingly beautiful, especially between Keitum and Wenningstedt.
Starting point: J's Soulcafé in Westerland's city center.
Jarla Harder, a Sylt native, has her mobile café-bar in the heart of Westerland's town center. Already in her second season, she's created a special meeting place on the lawn of the new town center. Here, you'll naturally strike up a conversation, if you want to, or you can sit alone on one of the wooden benches, reading a book. With an espresso (Italian approved!), cappuccino, matcha, or whatever you fancy, you can start the day in a wonderfully relaxed manner. Jarla also offers homemade, low-sugar cashew cookies or other organic pastries from Joldelunder. As a true gastronomy enthusiast, she puts her heart and soul into this business; good coffee is her passion. She gets it from Barne from the Sylt coffee workshop.
By the way: J's Soulcafé is linked to Ottmar Hörl Robbe's art exhibition "Youngster". You can find all the information here.
