Morsum, the most rural and eastern jewel on Sylt, offers a fascinating natural landscape, which captivates both locals and visitors. Here at the eastern tip of Sylt, nature appears in its purest form – a real paradise for ornithologists and Geologists. Next to the Morsum Cliff you can experience beautiful meadows, woods and the expanse of the dike. Sheep for ideal care: On the one hand, they keep the grass short, on the other hand, they guarantee with their golden step Lahore Strengthening the dikeIn spring you can find many lambs discover who are happily celebrating their first leaps of life on the dike.

The Morsum Cliff is, apart from its tranquility and beauty, so unique, because here various layers of earth exposed These are with their Splendor of color up to 10 million years old. You can clearly see the red and yellow sands, Clay layers and rocks that extend over this magical place. They are remnants different geological epochs and times long past.

Agriculture 
in Morsum

Morsum is not only a place of natural beauty, but also a place where agriculture plays a significant role. The eastern part of the island of Sylt is characterized by fertile fields and picturesque farms that combine traditional agricultural practices with modern innovations. Here, you can buy fresh Sylt potatoes, homemade jam, or eggs from free-range chickens. Horses, Galloways, and sheep can be seen grazing in the spacious meadows. The Hoffmann and Hansenhof farms also offer charming shops with Sylt products.

Morsum Culture Friends

For the preservation of Sylt culture and Morsum community

Sylt's culture and its preservation are a top priority in both Keitum and Morsum. With more than 380 local and non-local members, the Morsum Cultural Friends are the village's largest association. The volunteer-run association is deeply committed to the village community and its vitality. Through various events and creative ideas, among other things, the members strive to contribute to the active village life and offer added value to the residents. 

The Weavers

Everyone Tuesday between 15 & 17 p.m. You can experience how fabrics, scarves, tapestries, table runners, cushion covers, tea towels and other beautiful items are created by skilled weavers. 

Joy to the Mother

The annual Morsum Christmas and Winter Market "Jööltir ön Muasem" has been a popular meeting place for islanders and guests for decades. Look forward to homemade and hearty fare.

Autumn market

In October The Morsum culture friends invite you to colorful autumn market to the village community center. There you can discover, among other things, many seasonal and homemade products.

The island's west coast and its towns of List, Kampen, Wenningstedt, Westerland, Rantum, and Hörnum are popular for watching the Sylt sunset. Sitting on the beach with loved ones or alone and watching the golden sphere sink into the sea is a special and soothing way to end the day. But the rising sun also has its own magic. Depending on the season, the best place to watch it is on the Wadden Sea or at the Morsum Cliff. Perhaps with a fresh croissant from Ingwersen with homemade Sylt jam, your favorite song, and plenty of peace and quiet.
