ARCHSUM

In the island's smallest village, you'll experience rural idyll and agricultural tradition. Here, you'll find plenty of space for sweeping views and long bike rides through salt marshes and along the dike. Horses and sheep graze in the wide meadows, and in spring, rapeseed fields glow in the most beautiful shades of yellow. Old farms sit enthroned on their mounds, and thatched Frisian houses dominate the townscape.

Experience Archsum on Sylt…

Archsum is often referred to as the green heart of the island of Sylt, as nature is the main protagonist here. A paradise for hiking, horseback riding, and cycling. Nestled between salt marshes and the Wadden Sea, you'll find peace and quiet, yet still be so close to the vibrant island life.

  • Archsum is perfect for long walks, also with the dog

  • Nordic walking, Hiking or Jog: Here you have enough space and lots of nature to discover

  • Archsum is located exactly between Keitum and Morsum, so you can cycle in all directions from there

  • Look out for the colorful rapeseed fields and megalithic tombs
