The Hörnum campsite is located in the heart of Sylt's idyllic dune landscape, directly on the kilometer-long, white sandy beach. Waking up to the sound of the waves in the morning, you can choose between a shower or a dip in the refreshing North Sea, which is just a few wooden steps away.
The caravan and tent site
The Hörnum campsite is particularly popular for its proximity to nature and relaxed atmosphere. The tent pitches are nestled in the typical dune landscape, and the caravan pitches are located right on the edge of the dunes. So, if you enjoy falling asleep to the sound of the sea and want to take a quick dip in the sea before breakfast, this is the place for you!
All caravan pitches have electricity and water hookups and free Wi-Fi. The service building includes dishwashing facilities, a washer and dryer, and a living room with a TV and a bookshelf. The sanitary building has individual shower and wash cubicles (including one wheelchair-accessible and one family unit), two hairdryers, and six toilets.
The motorhome parking space
Whether in midsummer or on New Year's Eve - the Hörnum motorhome parking space welcomes you year-round Welcome! With 40 pitches, directly behind the dune on the kilometer-long white sandy beach, the site has a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere.
In spring 2013, the campervan site was given a modern makeover and equipped with a new water and wastewater disposal unit. At the same time, a modern service building was built on the site, which open all year Opened in 2013, the building consists of ten combined shower and wash cubicles (including one barrier-free unit and one family unit), six toilets, flushing facilities, and a washing machine and dryer.
Our rental caravans
Have you always wanted to try camping or simply want to spend a holiday in the heart of Sylt's natural surroundings? Then we have something for you! Six brand-new Dethleffs SeasonCampers are available for booking at the Hörnum campsite starting this year.
This is a special model designed specifically for rental. The rental caravans were built in 2023/2024 and feature an extra-large double bed, a total of five sleeping spaces, a large round seating area, a TV, forced-air heating, and a full-length awning with fully equipped kitchen.

Right next to the campsite, the Hörnum boys, Jan and Denjo, have fulfilled their dream of having their own beach bistro.
Sustainability also determines the owners’ kitchen philosophy, where regional organic ingredients are the order of the day.
Enjoy freshly prepared bowls with a base of couscous and basmati rice, classic burgers, or pasta. Even fish & chips, currywurst, or rice pudding are absolute highlights here!
Despite the surf, the beach at the Hörnum campsite offers a safe environment, as it has been monitored by our lifeguards during the season since 2024. Beach chairs for the perfect beach day can be rented. booked online For our sporty guests, there are often perfect conditions for surfing. The "Straend" restaurant is available for those who are a little or very hungry. There is also a beach shower, nearby restroom facilities, and a bike rack right at the crossing.
