The FRS Sylt ferry departs from the port of Havneby on the Danish North Sea island of Rømø. Sylt's neighboring island is easily accessible via a free car ferry. The car journey to Rømø via Flensburg takes about 35 minutes longer than the journey to Niebüll to the car train terminal.

Yes, you can reserve your ticket for the Sylt ferry. This is even recommended during peak season. By making a reservation, you avoid waiting times and can get a guaranteed parking space at the desired departure time secure and start your holiday relaxed.

At the ticket counter, you'll receive a large laminated boarding pass. Please keep it safe! You'll also receive the number of your waiting lane, where you should park your car.
As soon as the ferry is ready to load, the Sylt ferry staff will return your boarding pass, and you'll be allowed to drive into the ship's hold. There, the attendants will ensure your car is parked safely and correctly.
Now you can take the marked stairs or elevator to the salon or the open decks and enjoy the crossing as a ship passenger. For safety reasons, staying in your car during the journey is not permitted.

Yes, thanks to various facilities, the Sylt ferry also offers a relaxed crossing and arrival to Sylt for wheelchair users and passengers with limited mobility. The Sylt ferry has an elevator from the vehicle deck to the saloon, access ramps to the ship, wide aisles, accessible restrooms on board and in the harbor, and movable chairs in the restaurant.
Please report directly to the ticket counter. Your vehicle will then be parked on deck, directly next to the elevator. For safety reasons, remaining seated in your vehicle during the ride is not permitted.
