Overview of travel options
The DB Sylt Shuttle and the RDC Autozug Sylt car trains take you directly from Niebüll across the railway embankment to the island. The crossing takes around 35 minutes and offers a unique view of the Wadden Sea. Alternatively, you can take the car ferry from Havneby on Rømø in Denmark to List on Sylt. Whichever option you choose, both routes will take you to Sylt comfortably and in a scenic manner.

Sylt vacation without a car
Getting to Sylt is easy, even without a car. You can reach the island stress-free by train, for example, via Hamburg and Niebüll directly to Westerland. Thanks to the extensive bus network and numerous bike rental stations, you can explore the island without a car. This makes your Sylt vacation not only relaxing but also environmentally friendly.
