Travel times & reservations

Go on holiday in a relaxed manner

For a more relaxed journey by regional train, please refer to the Travel time recommendation from nah.shTo avoid waiting times and traffic jams, we recommend reserving a parking space on the car trains or ferries. During peak season, it's best to choose a midweek arrival and departure day to reduce traffic.

Environmentally friendly trip to Sylt…

Travel by train to &
enjoy the island without a car

1

Exercise is good for you! Depending on your physical condition, use your time on the island for long walks, short runs, or short walks. Avoid the car and enjoy the fresh, allergen-free, mineral- and salt-rich air.

2

No traffic jams: Cycling avoids busy streets. This saves time and stress. Always the most beautiful views included. And: Those who travel on foot or by bike see and hear more. Bird songs, animal tracks, small paths, the shape of the dunes...

3

Fewer cars also means fewer exhaust fumes. Less street noise. Less hustle and bustle. Cycling and walking are the more environmentally friendly alternatives. Was your bike ride more strenuous than you expected because of the wind? Then take the convenient bus ride back.
