Of course, you can simply hop on your bike, cycle toward the sun, and follow your intuition. That's how you discover the most beautiful places and new routes. Nevertheless, we'd like to give you some information along the way. It can't hurt...

  • 1. Rent a bike: There are several rental shops and providers across the island that offer a wide variety of e-bikes and bicycles.

  • Choose a cycling route or just go with the flow.

  • 3. Pack water and provisions for energy: Having a few bars or sandwiches in your basket is never a bad idea.

  • 4. Choosing the right clothes: Sylt's weather can be a bit unpredictable. Layering your clothes is always a good idea, and an extra sweater is a must.

  • Sunscreen: Especially in summer, the Sylt sun should not be underestimated

  • How do you get back home? If you run out of breath, some SVG buses with bike trailers will take you back to the starting point.
